ATRI on the Air Celebrates 5 Years with Dave Nemo

Arlington, VA – The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) will celebrate five years of programming tomorrow as part of The Dave Nemo Show heard on SiriusXM Satellite Radio’s Road Dog Channel.  Since it first aired in May 2006, “ATRI on the Air” has highlighted the approach and findings of different ATRI research initiatives, as well as how those findings impact truck drivers and motor carrier operations.  The show airs every other Thursday at 8:06 a.m. central time on SiriusXM Channel 106.

Tomorrow’s program will feature ATRI President Rebecca Brewster discussing ATRI’s Freight Bottleneck Analysis highlighting some of the worst places for truckers to get stuck in rush hour traffic.  Joining Rebecca on the program will be Gary Langston, President and CEO of the Indiana Motor Truck Association.

“Our partnership with Dave Nemo has been a critical feature of our success as an organization,” remarked ATRI President Rebecca Brewster.  “Through ATRI on the Air, we’ve been able to solicit driver input on current studies and generated new research ideas from the ultimate consumers of our research, the nation’s professional drivers.”

The Dave Nemo show is the nation’s most respected trucking radio broadcast, providing a forum for the trucking industry from 7 a.m. to noon, seven days a week, exclusively on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.  Nemo began broadcasting “trucking radio” in the 1970s.

ATRI is the trucking industry’s 501(c)(3) not-for-profit research organization.  It is engaged in critical research relating to freight transportation’s essential role in maintaining a safe, secure and efficient transportation system.
