New ATRI Research Highlights Evolving Truck Driver Demographics
ATRI today released new research detailing a notable demographic shift in the U.S. truck driver workforce. The research examines how broader societal and labor force trends are reshaping the industry and presents strategies for motor carriers to engage younger, more diverse, and historically underrepresented populations.

ATRI Seeks Insights on Changing Truck Driver Demographics
The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) is conducting research to understand the make-up of the U.S. truck driver population and how it is changing over time. ATRI will assess over 20 years of survey data from truck drivers, and this latest truck driver survey will provide the newest information on the composition of the truck driver population today – allowing the research to compare changing trends.

New ATRI Research Identifies Strategies for Mitigating Women Truck Driver Challenges
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) today released new research identifying approaches to increase the number of women truck drivers entering and staying in the industry. After quantifying six key challenge areas facing women truck drivers, the research lays out an action plan for the industry – with discrete steps for motor carriers, truck driver training schools and truck drivers – all designed to make trucking careers more attractive to women.

ATRI Seeks Truck Driver Input on Challenges Encountered by Women Drivers
The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) today launched a new survey to identify what both women and men truck drivers believe to be the barriers to entry for women truck drivers. The research will also capture other challenges that truck drivers encounter while training, on the road, and at parking facilities. The research will utilize responses from both women and men drivers to identify and contrast the unique challenges faced by women drivers.

ATRI Issues Call for Motor Carrier Input on Challenges and Opportunities for Improving Accessibility for Women Truck Drivers
The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) today launched a new survey to identify what motor carriers are doing to recruit and retain women truck drivers. This survey is part of a larger study identified by ATRI’s Research Advisory Committee as a top research priority. The study will identify challenges unique to women truck drivers as well as best practices that can be leveraged to overcome those challenges.
