Recognizing the inconsistent regulatory framework that existed for autonomous trucks, the RAC asserted that both public- and private-sector trucking industry stakeholders would benefit from an analysis of existing and emerging AT policies and regulations – with the intent of identifying “best practices” for facilitating the safe and efficient development and adoption of AT technologies.
